Nick's criminal practice covers both high-level felony cases and misdemeanors. On the misdemeanor side, he handles DUI and domestic violence charges. These charges can cost someone their license, their job, their home or time with their children, and they deserve a serious defense. Nick also handles high-level felony cases, from drug trafficking and possession with intent to deliver to burglary and breaking and entering. In every case, he starts with the evidence: whether the stop or search was lawful, how the evidence was handled, and whether the State can prove what it has charged.
In a DUI case, he looks hard at whether the traffic stop was legal, whether field sobriety and breath tests were given properly, and whether the officer's report and video hold up. In domestic cases, he works to protect his client's rights in both the criminal case and any related protective order. He explains every option in plain language so his clients can make informed decisions.
